WHO WE ARE
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) manages the entire company and reports to the board of directors, carrying out instruction at every level of the firm’s hierarchy.
CMG’s CEO is responsible for establishing leadership and company morale for the entire firm by producing consistent objectives and overseeing the progress of those objectives. The CEO decides with the board what the company’s essential goals are and which resources are required. The CEO is then responsible for turning those directions into Day-to-Day tasks and weekly goals.
The assistant to an executive, as in a corporate department, by coordinating such office services and procedures as the supervision, maintenance, and control of the flow of work and programs, personnel, budgeting, records, etc., for the entire department.
MARKETING & PROMOTIONS
CMG’s Marketing and Promotions department is responsible for creating the consumer-experience of our products. Our marketing specialists are responsible for manicuring the artists’ public brand. This includes designing and maintenance social media pages, websites, and all other sales funnels. Team members will develop graphics for blogs and online publishers. We will develop distribution-funnel outlining all possible outlets that could help build press and momentum for the artist’s career.
CMG’s Planning Producer works closely with the VP of Operations and CFO as the point-of-contact for all affiliate and operational clientele such as sponsorships, set-design, costuming and makeup, and other necessities for the operations of the business. The Planning Producer covers the essential needs of all company events and gatherings, serving as the company’s personal event planner.
The Chief Financial Officer(s) is the company’s primary accountant in charge of bookkeeping. The CFO is responsible for maintaining an up-to-date account of financial records and creating cost-effective measures to reach the intended goal.
CMG’s CEO creates daily objectives, the CFO builds the budget explaining those objectives in quantifiable terms for the board and managers. The CFO has a tremendous responsibility in also managing the company’s capital, such as paying bills, protecting assets, return on investments, and making sure each part of the business is financially harmonious.
CMG’s Administrative Assistant reports directly to the VP of Operations and is responsible for managing workflow consistency and that the necessary tasks are completed within the company’s overall objectives.
PUBLIC & ARTIST RELATIONS
CMG’s Public and Artist Relations is responsible for press releases and building the brand of each artist on the label. They are responsible for reaching out to magazines, labels, streaming services, etc. to find placement for the artist. They are also responsible for developing the story or pitch of the artist by gathering high resolution photographs and building an interesting biography and album description. They are responsible for producing the metadata and copy information necessary for streaming services and digital stores.
VP OF OPERATIONS
CMG’s Vice President of Operations reports directly to the CEO as the manager of administrative assistant(s). The VP is responsible for reporting the daily objectives to the managerial staff of the other moving parts of the company.
When the CEO is thinking of the long-term direction of the company, the VP of Operations is focused on translating those long-term goals into goals that are more immediately accomplishable but in line with long-term focus.
CMG’s Management reports directly to the VP of Operations and is responsible for creating a marketing budget for each artist or artist group, ensuring the artist gets the proper publishing credit and royalties.
CMG’s Management is the lifeblood of the company because an artist’s career depends tremendously on the harmony of the business conducted between the Artist and the Manager. Management will need to conduct consistent meetings with CJMMP, Marketing & Promotions, and other relative departments in order to maintain the company’s overall objectives.
CMG’s Booking Agent is responsible for managing relationships with festival coordinators, promoters and other event planners to find live performance placement for the artist. The job of Booking Manager is similar to the Publisher because they both are making cold-calls for artist placement. However, the Booking Manager is focused specifically on live performances and appearances for the artists.
